Our sleep system mattress core is made from cold foam, chosen for its irregular, open-cell structure that provides a stable core with a high level of elasticity, ergonomically supreme and ideal aeration characteristics. The 5 zones that make up the core of this mattress are designed to provide unique and tailored support to the different regions of the body. The high-density breathable orthopaedic mattress cold foam core has a volumetric weight of 50kg/m3, allowing it to deliver the highest levels of sleeping comfort and ensures it continues to deliver high quality sleep for years to come.

Wenatex has thoroughly researched the importance of the hygiene aspect of sleep, and has developed a mattress that uses materials that are antibacterial and antimicrobial, maximising its hygienic properties. At the forefront of this technology is the TENCEL® fibre featured in the mattress cover, and the TENCEL® powder featured in the core. This advanced fibre made from wood absorbs excess moisture in your mattress and linen and releases it into the environment much more efficiently than other fibres.

Yes, the Wenatex orthopaedic mattress is suitable for use on a typical slat base in proper condition. We do not recommend its use on a wireframe or solid base.

Your new ortho mattress is designed to deliver an anatomically correct sleep posture night. You may have been sleeping in your old mattress for many years, which does not have the same properties as our restful sleep mattress. You may experience a period of time where your body will be recovering to adapt to the better sleep posture. For some this can be immediate, and for others it may take a little longer.

Every Wenatex sleep system mattress is individually tested for the correct purposes against very stringent standards. Making it one of the best orthopedic mattresses on the market. Wenatex has its own ortho mattress testing machine which uses a 140kg roller over the sleep surface. This testing process repeatedly measures the quality of the surface and its hardness and flexibility throughout the manufacturing process all the way to completion. Have a look at the base or platform that the mattress is placed on. It is vital to have a base or platform that does not sag and supports the mattress throughout. The newer, more advanced version of the mattress is unlikely to sag even after years of normal use. The original version may start to feel different after 10 or more years. The Wenatex orthopaedic mattress is designed with materials, such as Tencel Lyocell and wenaLoft hollow fibre, chosen for their climate regulating properties. The mattress core also “breathes” allowing it to adapt to seasonal diathermic conditions. Maintaining a cool, constant temperature in the bedroom all year round is also conducive to a good night’s sleep, as is using sheets made from natural fibres.
